The EcoMystery project aims to:
-
raise awareness of gaps and needs around education to address the multiple impacts of the climate crisis.
-
improve teachers’ ability to teach issues related to the climate crisis, using the innovative educational practice of escape rooms capable of achieving multiplier positive results.
-
encourage students to seek effective solutions to address and combat the climate crisis.
-
achieve a multiplier effect, exploiting technology, and enhancing digital skills.
The EcoMystery project will offer national education systems new methodologies for teaching about climate change, such as gamification (escape rooms) and the use of digital tools which can have a multiplier positive effect. In this way, it will motivate the school community to take a proactive role in environmental education and action, while promoting active environmental citizenship and sustainable development.
Results
The Needs Discovery Report will explore the need for more effective education on climate crisis impacts.
The Teachers Advancement Program will explore future climate crisis scenarios, training on physical and digital escape rooms, and ways to enhance students' civic engagement through them.
The “Escape the Climate Crisis” Coursework with a plethora of meaningful learning experiences.
The EcoMystery Platform with thematic digital escape rooms related to climate crisis impacts.
